Meet the Care Team

Partner, Nurse Practitioner

Jessica Lowery, NP

Jessica Lowery is originally from Philipp, Mississippi, and began her career as a nurse practitioner in 2014. Her specialties include internal medicine and hypertension, and she is certified to treat both children and adults for hypertension and headache disorders. She is also certified to administer Botox for chronic migraines and provides assessments and care for lipid management, stroke prevention, and post-stroke recovery.

She holds multiple nursing degrees, including an Associate’s degree from Hinds Community College, a Bachelor’s degree from the Mississippi University for Women, and a Master’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a Certified Hypertension Clinician (CHC) through the American Society for Hypertension/American Heart Association. Jessica has trained with leading neurologists across the country in headache management and has worked at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Jessica has served as a clinical investigator with the Systolic Blood Pressure Intervention Trial (SPRINT) for the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s Hypertension Research Team. She also served as a clinical investigator for Phase II and III clinical trials focused on headache and neurological conditions.

She is a member of the American Heart Association, the National Headache Foundation, and the Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a Nurse Practitioner member of the American College of Physicians.

Partner, Nurse Practitioner

Kaylon Lewis, NP

Kaylon Lewis is originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and began her career as a nurse practitioner in 2016. She specializes in neurological disorders and treats patients ages 13 and older. Before establishing Magnolia Neurology Clinic, Kaylon practiced at The Hattiesburg Clinic, St. Dominic Hospital, and Mississippi Care Clinic as a nurse practitioner.

She is skilled in diagnosing and managing a wide range of conditions, including ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), dizziness and balance disorders, Bell’s palsy, brain lesions, cerebral aneurysms, dementia disorders, Guillain-Barré syndrome, headache disorders, hydrocephalus, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, neuropathy, Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke symptoms, seizure disorders, spinal radiculopathies, and traumatic brain injuries.

Kaylon earned her Bachelor’s degree through William Carey University’s accelerated nursing program and later completed a Master’s degree in nursing research and education. She went on to receive a post-Master’s degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she became an Adult Nurse Practitioner.

While completing her advanced degrees, Kaylon worked as a registered nurse in the Neurosurgery and Neurology inpatient department at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During this time, she also served as an RN research coordinator for the Department of Infectious Diseases and contributed to multiple institutional committees. She gained additional experience as a student nurse at Mississippi College’s School of Nursing and Hinds Community College’s School of Nursing.

Collaborating Physician, Neurologist

Dr. Patrick Weldon, MD

Dr. Patrick Weldon, MD, is a neurologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the brain, spine, and nervous system. He practices in Flowood, Mississippi, and is affiliated with Merit Health River Oaks and other regional medical facilities.

Dr. Weldon earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine and completed his neurology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. His clinical work focuses on evaluating and managing a wide range of neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke and transient ischemic attacks, traumatic brain injury, and other complex neurological conditions.

Known for his attentive approach to patient care, Dr. Weldon is committed to providing thorough neurological evaluations and individualized treatment plans designed to improve neurological health, stability, and overall quality of life.
